I bought this shirt to be Robin while my 5-year-old son trick-or-treated as batman. He was really psyched about it and said I looked awesome. I usually wear a men’s large for a big comfy fit, and I read that the sizes ran small, so I got an XL, but I wish I didn’t, because it was too big. Also, it’s true that the cape doesn’t come around the front, which makes it not look as good, but if you’re handy with a needle and thread, it’s a quick fix. I haven’t worn it since (I’m geeky, but it’s too big to wear out comfortably), but I do assume that the detail in the front will probably crack after a few washes. I washed it once before wearing, and it was fine. The mask IS a joke, so I gave it to my kiddo to play with and I wore a sweet mask I got at a Ren Faire awhile back. Shipping was excellent, came in 2 days with 2 day Prime shipping.All in all, for what I used it for, it was great, but don’t expect anything amazing!

Just what i needed!!!
im a college student living on campus and let me just say that halloween is probably the biggest event!i needed a costume that was cool,cheap, and comfortable! this costume is exactly what i needed! a plain simple shirt and comes with a cape that doesnt over do it! and the mask is just simply perfect! a little lighter red than i expected but who cares im only gonna where one day out of 365! plain and simple but yet still perfect! also i looovee robin! way better than batman in my opinion! haha

One or Two time wear is fine, otherwise I’d avoid
The shirt is great for Halloween or some similar event. However, the construction of the cape and is very shoddy and will not hold up very long.The shirt is a screen printed Gilden t-shirt. That part is great. However, for branding and licensing they add 5, yes 5, additional tags to the gilden tag on the shirt. I found them very annoying but they were easily removed but cutting and pulling our a couple threads.Unfortunately, the cape is just as easily removed as the tags and just as poorly made. I don’t know anything about sewing, but the edge of the cape barely stayed together for one evening before starting to unravel. Additionally, the velcro patches on both the shirt and cape also began coming undone after one evening.The cape will not hold up over any extended wearing. It might not make a second Halloween.But for a cheap, easy, one-time costume it works great.

Good enough for halloween or a costume party
I usually wear a L and got an L and fit just fine, maybe slightly tight. I’d say more fitted than tight. Note I am 6′ and 165 slender build with broad shoulders. Quality is what you’d expect for halloween costumes at this price. Stitching connecting the velcro for the cape to the shirt is a bit shoddy and they used white instead of black to match the velcro or even red to match the shirt. Only planning to get one use out of it for Halloween to match my son’s batman costume so this def works and is pretty much the quality I expected. Picked it up on sale for $20 and at that price it’s a no brainer. 3 stars for quality.

Perfect sidekick shirt
For reference I’m normally an XL in women’s and a L in men’s. I bought a large and it was ok. More snug than I would’ve liked, but for what I needed it for, I don’t care. The cape is easy on/off, but not in a cheap way and it has survived two washes.

VERY SMALL & LOW QUALITY
My expectations were not high as it’s a Halloween costume (shirt/cape and mask). But I didn’t take the previous reviews too seriously regarding the size or quality of the item. I typically wear a large and still have some breathing room. I ordered an XL just to be safe and was more concerned about it being too big. I could barely get the shirt on. Just know an XL is truly a small/medium. The quality of the mask is not what you would get with a standard Halloween costume, I could make a better mask for $2 at dollar tree. For almost $40 I expected more. Even in today’s economy.

Good Robin costume
The t-shirt is 100% cotton, but the cape is polyester. The t-shirt will shrink so go a size higher than what you normally wear. I went for a M but I normally wear smalls. The tshirt color is vibrant red with details that slightly wear off with every wash. The cape attaches via velcro, but it stayed on during the 5k and was a none-issue. The mask is not as advertised. Overall, the costume was great and it served its purpose: a costume for a 5k run.

Effortless costume
Our 6 year old wanted to be Batman for Halloween and since Grandpa was going to be visiting and trick-or-treating with us, we decided our little guy needed a 6 foot tall sidekick. Grandpa was just happy we didn’t expect him to wear tights, lol.This shirt is great for an effortless costume. It fit him well and seems to be a good quality. We’ll be holding on to this one for future last minute costume opportunities.

Worked for me.
It’s cheap, but totally usable for a few hours on Halloween night. I’m typically a large (5’11” and 198 lbs), so I went with an xl since other reviews said it is small. I probably could fit a large, but I’m glad I got the xl because it’s tight at the seems, but plenty long and loose elsewhere. I cut larger eye holes too. Again, for a funny costume, one night only, this worked great.

Size
The costume is exactly like the picture. However, the size was not exactly right. I bought an extra large for my husband who is 6’2 who’s shirt size is extra large. The shirt fit more like a large. The good thing is it does have good stretch. So I would recommend going a size up for a more comfortable fit.
