    Great costume!

This costume was awesome. I got it for a Star Wars themed iron pigs game. It was well made with thick material. I was actually really impressed by the quality for the price. They did not have a girl version so I did get the men’s. I am 180 pounds with wide hips. I got a large and a medium to test the sizes. The medium robe and top fit well but the medium pants were too small. There wasn’t any stretch in the fabric. The large top was pretty big on me and the pants fit perfectly. So neither size really fit me properly but it still worked for the event. Mine came and looked so good that my husband decided to buy one as well in a different color. He is 260 pounds of muscle and the large fit him perfectly.

Outstanding value for this costume kit!

You never know what you’re going to get, but the previous reviews led me to this purchase (and also that it’s one of the few you can get in XXL).Fit: I am 6’3″, 52″ chest, 38″ waist – so since the whole kits is XXL, the pants were naturally a bit big on me, but the length was good (these are designed to be bloused into boots) . If I had to guess, I’d say the pants were a 42-44 waist, but they do come with belt loops, so no review reduction there. The tunic comes in SEVERAL pieces. There are no “assembly” instructions, so have the picture handy when putting it on, and you’ll probably appreciate (not required) a second set of hands to position the shoulder elements. The cloak was the perfect length for me in the arms and overall length (doesn’t drag on the ground), and the only piece that was tight on me was the sash.Quality: The cloak and pants are a very light satiny material, and the tunic and accoutrements are a heavier cotton or linen. The top part of the costume consists of the tunic, two shoulder pieces (drape over your shoulders and bring them across in the front), a velcro belt/sash (this was a little tight on me – had to wear below my stomach), and a vinyl belt with some sort of pouch. If I had any complaint, I would have asked for a longer sash. It didn’t come apart as I moved around to put my boots on though, so all good. For the price (I paid less than $50), and the speed it got to me, I am very impressed with the quality, feel, and look of this costume.

Fantastic for the price, even if fit and materials aren’t perfect

For the price point, I don’t think this thing can be beat. The materials aren’t top of the line, but they’re better than the more mass market costumes. The fit isn’t perfect, but is good enough where it counts.Pros:-Material is of good quality. It’s not perfect, but it’s leaps and bounds above the prepackaged costumes you’d buy for Halloween. The pants are extremely similar style/material to a men’s dress trouser. The inner tunic is a similar light material. The outer tunic, tabards, and obi are all a heavier linen. The robe is heavier than the thin light costume robes you can find in Halloween costume stores, but is not quite as heavy as you would think the ones in the movies are. This is actually good because the rest of the costume can run a bit warm.-Fit is good. I am a larger man (6′, 250lbs) who wears 44/32 jeans and a 2-3XL shirt (depending on the fit). The 3XL of this costume fit me well enough. The pants are just on the cusp of being too tight, but they button and aren’t uncomfortable. The tunics and robe fit perfectly (the robe is just the right length to look right but not drag too much on the ground and get messed up). The only drawback here was the obi, which was just a fraction too small for me. However, this is probably the easiest piece to extend or replace, since it’s just a wrap of fabric with velcro, so I don’t hold it against the costume. The overbelt (with the clasp and pouch pieces) did fit just fine, it’s a good bit larger than the obi.-Overall look is on point. I have never felt more like a Jedi than when I was wearing this robe.-The overbelt piece is very cool looking. It just fastens with velcro, but the buckle looks quite good and the pouch would fit a smaller cell phone.Cons-As I mentioned, the pants and obi weren’t a perfect fit. The pants are usable, and the obi is easy to fix, so I don’t hold this against it.-The lack of any fastener for the tunic and tabard pieces is a bit unfortunate. The belt/obi holds it all together. I plan on adding in some velcro in places to get a more secure fit.

    Amazing for the price!

Ordered this for Halloween and I am super pleased with what I got! I am 5’8” and roughly 155lbs and commonly wear medium shirts with 30×30 pants. I normally would buy Medium sized costumes, but bought the Small because I have had multiple experiences where these all-in-one costumes tend to run large. Thankfully I made the right choice because the costume fit wonderfully. The sizing chart was pretty spot on, so make sure to refer to that and have a tape measure ready! It says to order larger sizes if you’re the same size as shown on the chart, but I feel like you would run the risk of it being too baggy or even dragging on the ground if you do so. The entire costume comes in a large ziplock-like bag so returns are easy if you need to get a different size! Some notes to think about before buying:First, as many of the other reviews say, buy Velcro strips or clothes pins to secure the shoulder pieces. They are long rectangular pieces of fabric that are only fastened by the belt and can slide off of the shoulder quite easily. Nothing a little DIY fastening can’t fix!Second the cummerbund/belt and thigh area of the pants (for those who didn’t skip leg day while training under Master Qui-Gon) are pretty tight. While the belt is not a major issue as, again, extra Velcro can secure it, the pants are made out of a very thin material that have the potential to rip easily if you sit or squat down too much (oh look a penny!). If you do decide to practice hand-to-hand combat while wearing this you might want to look for a pair of dark brown slacks or joggers that won’t tear as easily. Some other notes about the costume (I congratulate you if you’ve read this far. I’m writing this while sipping my third cup of coffee so the words are flowing and yet I’m too lazy to provide a TLDR for your convenience):The cloak was a perfect length and fell just above the tops of my shoes, while the sleeves laid right at my wrists and is made of what feels like 100% polyester so it will flow easily in the winds of Tatooine (“I don’t wear anything I can’t take off with a flourish”-Stewie Griffin). The tabard/tunic also sat right at my wrists and came down to about mid-thigh. It is made of a relatively thick material which poses the potential to get hot in warmer climates, but the sleeves and opening in the front are large enough to provide plenty of air flow so you won’t feel like you’re suffocating.Overall this is a great costume that is perfect for parties, trick-or-treating, casting your best friend and the “Chosen One” into the fires of Mustafar (the movie has been out for 18 years now, this no longer qualifies as a spoiler), and so much more!

    very happy, quite exceeded expectations

May the Fourth be with you! This exceeded expectations by quite a bit and I am happy with this purchase. The fabric used isn’t the ultra-thin costume stuff that rips easily–it’s a step up and more substantive, and something that can be saved to wear again another year. The design of the undertunic is nice with those darker flaps to mimic a black shirt underneath. The robe is a good length in arms and overall length.Ben’s obi (see what I did there?) and belt are nicely designed and make this a multi-layer costume rather than one that has its parts painted on. The outfit looks good with the robe off as well as on. The outfit is comfortable to wear for a long stretch, since you can take the robe off in a warm room and still be in costume and in character. The pants have a zipper and darts and elastic at the sides of the waist, nice touches they could have skipped in favor of a simpler drawstring or elastic waist if they wanted to be cheaper. I used brown leggings and skipped wearing the pants, but was impressed with them.

    Mid at best

The shirt was good size and good quality, middle strip was too short so it wouldn’t fit/hold the top peices together. Cloak and pants are made from clearly cheaper material.

Its more like a Jedi uniform than a costume.

I usually don’t write reviews or give feedback, but once I put it on, I could see that it is a quality costume. Actually, Its more like a Jedi uniform than a costume. It’s washable and being made from a polyester fabric, it should have a minimum of shrinkage. The uniforms Pants come with a button closer with belt loops so you can wear your regular belt and not depend on elastic alone and has a zipper, important if your attending a party. It has a generously fitting long sleeve tunic, much like a karate gi. It comes with 2 over the shoulder Tabards which will be held in place with your included Obi; which is adjustable and held together with velcro strips. The leather like Belt fits over the Obi securing the tunic, the tabards, and the Obi, keeping them all in place. The belt is held together in the back with a very large velcro closure. This belt has a decretive metal piece in front and a snap closure utility pouch which by the way, has a precut hole in the bottom which just so happens to fit the diameter of a light saber; no additional cost of purchasing a light saber clip. All the pieces with these back closures are covered up by the full length Hood. It Really Is Nice. If its to long, say the hood or the pant legs, it can be sewn for the perfect fit. To be perfectly clear, this is just the uniform. No light saber or boots or any other Jedi accoutrements. But look at the price; some of those one piece, slip in from the back costumes are far more expensive. This is a great deal, I’m super impressed.

    Nice overall costume, well made….

I am pleased for the most part with this costume. It looks fairly authentic and when you have it on you do look like a Jedi. Im 6’1″ and weigh 185lbs so Im pretty fit. I went with the MEDIUM size outfit. My waist size for most of the pants/shorts is around 33 inches. As far as how everything fit – the shirt fit perfectly. The pseudo-leather belt also fit very well around my midsection. The shoulder sashes are a good length and fit well. The middle sash/belt(same material as the shoulder sashes) was WAY to small though & useless. I also feel the pants are tighter than I would like although they do fit. They give a waist-size range of 32′ to 34″ for the medium pants but forget that. 32″ is about it. The pants are a thinner material than the shirt or other pieces. Honestly, with most of the pants covered when you have everything on you could easily just wear a pair of Khakis or any other slacks in the same color and no one would know. Its the shirt, sashes, robe and belt that make this costume look good! Oh yeah, the robe was a perfect length but quite thin. The hood is a little big too and tends to droop too much over my head but its not a huge deal since you’ll mostly have it off anyways. So, overall the fit is pretty decent. I use some safety pins to hold the shoulder sashes in place since during activity they could come undone. The fake-leather belt sort of holds everything together. You’ll see when you put it on.For what I paid this is a nice outfit and will work for my needs. Its not perfect but its way better than anything I could get locally. It looks pretty authentic and allows me enough free movement that if I want to duel with other Star Wars nerds I can swing my light saber and all that. You’ll have to get your own boots though but thats no big deal. I can recommend this product, just be mindful of the sizing concerns for some of the items.

Great for a Halloween or Costume party.

Neutral: I am 5’10” and weigh 240 lbs. I typically wear size 36/32 pants and XL shirts. For those who find themselves between two sizes on the size chart, I recommend opting for the larger size. I initially ordered the XL based on the size chart, which fit but felt a bit tight. I returned it for the XXL, which is slightly loose, but I’m planning to hem it for a better fit. The pouch that comes with the belt is a nice feature for holding my ID, though it could use a little more space. One thing to note is that the outer tunic is not attached, which can cause it to slip off your shoulders. To improve this, I added sew-on snaps, which helped keep it in place.Pros: The costume provides excellent value for the price. I really like the overall look, and while I don’t expect it to be officially approved by the 501st or any Jedi guild, it’s perfect for costume parties and comic conventions. The inclusion of belt loops on the pants is a practical touch, as they were sliding down my waist. The fabric quality and stitching appear well-made, which is encouraging.Cons: Both the pants and robe are made from the same shiny material, which might not be to everyone’s taste. Additionally, the inner tunic lacks a closure mechanism, so I would suggest wearing a t-shirt underneath for better comfort. The belt features Velcro, but it doesn’t have enough extra length to secure it tightly. I managed to make it work, but it still tends to slip down (the XL was too tight, and the XXL is a bit loose). Furthermore, there isn’t a designated place for my keys or cell phone, which would enhance the overall functionality.Overall: I’m quite satisfied with my purchase and appreciated the fast shipping. I would consider buying this costume again and might explore additional colors in the future.

    Great costume!

Great costume! I would order it again. The only thing I noticed is the pants did not have a button closure which is a quick fix to sew one on. I ordered the black costume which looks great on me. I am 5’9″ at 170lb and have been wearing a 34 waist for many years. I usually order large for shirts and what not because I don’t like wearing tight clothes. On the size chart it showed a 34 waist for a medium size and noticed there was a comment as to a lot of returns due to sizes being big. So I ordered a medium. Glad I did. Looks great on me. Everything fits perfectly. I may add velcro to the long shoulder tunics that came with it to keep them in place. I saw someone else mention that in their review and thought great idea. I have had other costumes where part of it would almost slide off and I kept adjusting it throughout the night. Hope this helps.
